Day 69: Toronto day II

Another day of wandering. We went to Kensington Market, saw some live music, cruised china town, walked through the downtown and found some free beer. The first stop of the day was Kensington Market:

From there we discovered that the China Town Festival carried through to Sunday. There were a few food stalls and a lot of cheap handicraft and clothing stalls. The main draw for us was the live music. We chanced upon a really good rock duo who, despite the constant rain, drew a large crowd. Katie drying herself under the hand dryer in McDonalds.

Moving on, we wandered through the streets of downtown, heading in the general direction of the CN tower which, upon reaching, we discovered is a ripoff. Just to get up to the lower viewing area, requires shilling out $21.00 per person. Just for an elevator ride! To get the whole package “deal” you need to pay $32.00 a head! Some of you may be thinking that we’re cheap right now. That’s because we are.

Accross the street at Steam Whistle Brewery, we drowned our sorrows with free beer. Seriously. They just give you as many samples as you want. It’s completely odd, and fantastic.

Happy with our liquid appetizer, we satisfied the rest of our hunger with a couple of cheap, but tasty, Indian inspired “burritos” made by a Chinese woman from a place called New York Subway.

On our stroll back to Gaspar’s, we randomly decided to walk along an alley that allows, and even promotes graffiti.
Brandon's direction on this one was to yell "supermodel."
