Day 19: Nelson - Creston

km today: 119.1
total km: 1059.1

Our second centurian!! This day was definitely not a day off. We were only planning on heading to Boswell, 60-ish km from Nelson, but even with stopping at the Nelson farmers' market we were still there by 3:00 pm. With energy abound, we decided to go the extre mile, and headed on to Creston.

The highlights of the day included Canada's longest free ferry ride across Kootenay Lake, from Balfour to Kootenay Bay. The ride was very scenic and the ferry was way nicer than any other BC ferry we've been on. The other cool thing was seeing a ton of Harley tourers. Throughout the day we were passed by at least 7 or 8 full on, organized Harley tours. Some of them which were complete with an entourage of Sherpa/Snack vehicles. Doesn't exactly fit the stereotypical Harley image, but we don't think that there were any Hell's Angels in there.

On our way across.
