We had head winds all the way. Crappy. We still managed to go 70 km before stopping for lunch, which is a new record for the two who can never seem to satiate their hunger.
A funny moment of the day was meeting a man, 30 km EAST of Cranbrook (and heading east), who was intending on going to Nelson WEST of Cranbrook, which is over two days ride for us. He started in Creston, and just went wrong from there. We pointed him in the right direction, and wished him luck on his 4 hour detour. Hopefully we never cover so much distance in the wrong direction on our bikes because it will take a whole lot longer than 4 hours to correct our mistake.
