Day 45: Nestor Falls - Fort Frances

km today: 108.1
total km: 3157.5

Today was a bit of a long day: The first 3/4 of the ride was really fun. We had a pretty good tail wind that enabled us to keep along at an impressive pace while still feeling like lazy sightseers. Many more beaver lodges to check out. Still no beavers. Our goal is to see a beaver sometime on this trip. What good is a Canadian road trip if you don’t see a beaver.
Definitely no longer in the prairies.

Our lunch stop in Emo turned out to be awesome. We found ice cream novelties that we assumed were extinct. Not in Emo, population 1,000. We found Snack and a halfs and choclalate popsicles and were more than happy to add them to our lunch.
Fort Frances is another border town where you look across said body of water (this time the Rainy River) and see the U.S. (this time Minnesota). Sorry, no picture though. After doing a bit of laundry in the lake (one girl thought we were burying our clothes - we thought she was going nowhere fast) and enjoying the amenities of our free campsite we chowed down on Safeway subs and called it a day.
